Signed post-war studio portrait of 1734A Sergeant (Sgt) George Albert Kent MM. A school teacher from Wycheproof, Vic, Kent embarked as a 1734 Private Kent with the 2nd Reinforcements, 2nd Pioneer Battalion from Melbourne aboard HMAT Aeneas (A60) on 8 April 1916. He was awarded the Military Medal for his actions at Westhoek, Belgium, on 22-23 September 1917. Sgt Kent returned to Australia on 7 July 1919.
