Informal portrait of Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Reverend John P Pierce, officiating at the wedding of Patricia Collins (nee Ashworth), and 400871 Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Austin James Collins, air gunner, at Sacred Heart Church, Sandringham, Victoria. Flt Lt Reverend Pierce and Flt Sgt Collins had both recently returned from overseas service. Flt Sgt Collins was later posted to 22 Squadron RAAF and lost on operations in New Guinea on 1 June 1943.
