Studio portrait of 424964 Warrant Officer (WO) Richard Power Cantwell RAAF. WO Cantwell enlisted on 10 October 1942, trained as an airgunner and was later attached to 582 Squadron RAF. He was killed on 15 March 1945, during operations in North West Europe. He was aged 20. WO Cantwell's half brother VX17005 Corporal John Power Cantwell served overseas with 2/9 Field Company, Royal Australian Engineers and returned to Australia in 1945.
