Informal portrait of SX1722 Private Ronald Kite, 2/10 Battalion, an indigenous serviceman from Point Victoria, South Australia. He was 22 years old when he enlisted on 12 December 1939. He was discharged on 15 August 1945. The handwritten note on the reverse of the image reads “R Kite original battalion member. Ron comes from Mission Station other side of Maitland.” This is one of a series of eleven images relating to the service of SX712 Private Colin Gardner. [See image P09736.004]
