Collection relating to the Second World War service of VF397998 Sgt Jean L Wilkin, Australian Womens' Army Service. Collection consists of a five paged memoir written by Jean Smith (formerly Wilkin), describing her experiences involving mustard gas testing with the Australian Research and Experimental Section, also known as the Chemical Warfare Unit, and later known as 1st Australian Field Trials Company RAE, during 1944.
