This telegram contains a brief medical summary for Private Stripp, including his symptoms, treatment, and diagnosis of a duodenal ulcer. The letter, dated 17 May 1944, was sent by King George VI upon Private Stripp’s release from captivity on medical grounds. In his letter, the King wishes Private Stripp restored health and happiness.
