Studio portrait of 2772 2nd Corporal (2nd Cpl) Frederick Charles Poole, 2nd Australian Railway Company, taken in Melbourne just before embarkation. An engine driver from Cowra, NSW, prior to enlisting in July 1918, he embarked from Melbourne aboard SS Zealandic on 5 October 1918. 2nd Cpl Poole died of pneumonia in Le Havre, France, on 13 February 1919, aged 29.
