Description
A Memorial certificate of the gallant of service voluntarily rendered for king and country featuring a portrait of 4164 Private (Pte) Percival Ernest Davies, 6th Battalion, of Brunswick, Vic. A farmer prior to enlistment, he embarked from Melbourne with the 13th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Demosthenes (A64) on 29 December 1915. Pte Davies served on the Western Front and was killed in action on 4 October 1917. He was 21 years of age.
