The majority of soldiers in this group are National Servicemen who went on to serve in Vietnam, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Australia. The instructors are members of the Regular Army. Identified front row, second from left is Nick John Cassano. 5716427 Private Nick John Cassano, who later served with the 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR), was killed in action on 7 December 1969 in Vietnam.
