Description

Studio portrait of 555 Private (Pte) Paul Lynch, 32nd Battalion. Pte Lynch worked as a labourer before enlistment and embarked from Adelaide with B Company aboard HMAT Geelong (A2) on 18 November 1915. Once in France, he was promoted to the rank of Driver with the 8th Australian Infantry Brigade Headquarters. Driver Lynch died of bronchial pneumonia in France on 15 November 1918, just four days after Armistice. He was 30 years of age.
