Description
Informal portrait of 402252 Sergeant (Sgt) Frank Richardson RAAF, 104 Squadron RAF (third from right) and unidentified crew members of Wellington aircraft W5485 EP-J. This aircraft was lost with all its crew on the night of 5-6 August 1941. Sgt Richardson was the pilot of a Wellington aircraft W5362 EP-J that was declared missing in bombing operations over Berlin on 8 September 1941. Subsequent investigations determined that the entire crew had been killed on operations. Sgt Richardson's name is recorded on the Runnymede Memorial at Surrey, England.
