Description
An Australian Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV) of the Australian Battalion Group (AUSBATT), Peacekeeping Force in Sector West, sank when it was crossing a swollen creek during the wet season near the township of Balibo. The vehicle was operated by personnel from the Second Cavalry Regiment. This image relates to the service of the United Nations Headquarters Peacekeeping Force (HQPKF), United Nations Transitional Authority in East Timor (UNTAET).
