'A is for Animals' Temporary and Travelling Exhibition
Description
Manuscript consists of five short papers: Horses in the Boer War, Camels in the First World War, Pigeons in the Second World War, Dogs in the Post-1945 era, and Donkeys and mules from the Boer War to Afghanistan. Each of the papers prensents the historical background of the animal's use in conflict, what purpose they were used for, how the units were structured, relationships withtheir handlers, and cultural responses to their use.
