Surnames are written in ink on the front of the photograph by 359 Private (Pte) Randolph Adamson: identified, left to right: back row: Proctor (probably 180 Herbert John Proctor); Featherstone (Probably 432 Thomas Henry Featherstone); Nash (possibly 512 James Nash); Pte Adamson, and Fletcher (probably 435 Richard Fletcher). Front row: MacDonald (probably 852 James McDonald); Gane (probably 442 Leslie George Gane), Bull (possibly 379 Wilfred Percy Bull); Bull (possibly 380 Herbert Allen Bull); and Kennedy (probably 474 William Thomas Kennedy).
