Description

Studio portrait of 3779 Private (Pte) Felix Edmore Bardioux, 22nd Battalion. A mattress maker from Carlton, Vic, prior to enlistment, Pte Bardioux embarked with the 9th Reinforcements from Melbourne aboard HMAT Warilda (A69) on 8 February 1916. He was killed in action on 26 August 1916 in France, aged 19. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France. His brother 512 Pte Joseph Bardioux died of wounds in Egypt on 30 April 1915.
