Studio portrait of 3110 Private (Pte) William Jeffry Nash. A grazier from Yea, Victoria, Pte Nash embarked with the 37th Battalion, 7th Reinforcements, on 19 February 1917 aboard HMAT Ballarat (A70). Pte Nash was killed by an exploding shell on 12 October 1917 at Passchendaele whilst performing his duties as a stretcher bearer. His name is recorded on The Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres, Belgium.
