Collection relating to the Second World War service of SX3715 Corporal Allan Dallow, 2/3 Machine Gun Battalion, Second Australian Imperial Force, Middle East, Java, Singapore, Australia, 1941-45, c 2005.
Wallet 1 of 1 - contains 13 pages of original letters (some incomplete) written by Cpl Dallow to his wife and children, including the first letter he wrote home after his release as a prisoner of war of the Japanese and typed transcripts of these letters (completed by Len Dallow). Also contains some additional biographical information and copies of related photos, one letter [undated] relating to family friend, Ray 'Nugget' McDallan, and biographical information about McDallan and Allan Dallow's brother, Leonard William 'Jacky' Dallow.
