Flying boots : Royal Australian Air Force
Description
Black leather flying boots with stitching over the toe, front lacing and side zip fastenings.The boots extend beyond the ankle and are reinforced with an extra strip of leather down the back of the leg and around the heel.The sole has three layers of leather and rubber, with a three centimetre heel. The laces are made of black cotton. Each boot is printed on the inside of the ankle 'ADDISON SHOE CORP. 6 W 23569 11077'.

Flying boots issued to Flight Lieutenant (later Squadron Leader) Kevin Andrew Courage, who served as a navigator with 1 and 2 Squadrons, RAAF, from May 1959 until September 1963 while these units were based at Amberley, Queensland.
