Battlefield grave of QX11596 Corporal (Cpl) Walter Lagnacourt McIntyre, 2/15th Battalion, who was killed in action in Libya on 1 September 1942 during Operation Bulimba. His steel helmet has been left on the grave in common with other 2/15th Battalion burials in the area. (see P10220.001 and P10220.003). Originally from Bowen, QLD, Cpl McIntyre was aged 24 when he died.
