Studio portrait of 6076 Private (Pte) Thomas Russell Jones, 24th Battalion. A station hand from Armidale, NSW, prior to enlistment, Pte Jones embarked with the 17th Reinforcements from Sydney aboard HMAT Argyllshire (A8) on 31 October 1916. He died of wounds at Bullecourt, France, on 15 May 1917 aged 20.
