Description

Group portrait of Allied prisoners of war (POW) in Stalag VIIa , Moosburg, Germany. Several are wearing AIF battle dress and others are clothed in a variety of jackets and jumpers supplied by the Red Cross. Identified personnel include: front row fifth from left NX3174 Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Walter Ferdinand Walsh (wearing a peaked cap), the 2/3rd Field Regiment RAA. WO2 Walsh was captured on Crete in 1941. Two men in the front row are holding piano-accordions.
