A memorial card for 4185 Private (Pte) David Matson Glen Guthrie. A porter from Peterhead, SA, he embarked with the 10th Battalion from Adelaide aboard the HMAT Borda on 11 January 1916. Pte Guthrie was killed in action in France on 25 February 1917. He was 19 years old. The memorial card is tri-fold with the first page overleaf featuring a studio portrait of Pte Guthrie in uniform, including his service number, rank and details. The second page features the colours of the 10th Battalion on the bottom of the page, with a sprig of wattle featured on the top right hand corner. When opened fully, the card features typed text on all three pages, with the central page featuring a poem with a coloured image of the Union Jack and Australian national flag at the top.
