Description

Studio portrait of 2964 Private (Pte) Henry Starr, 58th Battalion. A farmer from Goolagong, NSW, Pte Starr embarked with the 7th Reinforcements from Sydney aboard HMAT Afric (A19) on 3 November 1916. He died at a casualty clearing station on 12 May 1917 from wounds received at Bullecourt the previous day. He was aged 32.
