Outdoor group portrait of brothers PA3486 Writer (Wtr) Ralph Henry Farmer RAN (left rear) and 416251 Flight Sergeant (Flt/Sgt) Donald Craig Farmer, 2 Squadron RAAF (right rear) and their father S73149 Lieutenant Colonel Donald Farmer, 10th Battalion Volunteer Defence Corps (VDC) (front). Flt/Sgt Farmer enlisted at Adelaide SA on 28 April 1941 and was killed in action when the aircraft in which he was a Wireless Air Gunner (WAG) flew into a mountain near Penfoei during a bombing raid on Timor on 8 July 1943. He was aged 22.
