Three year apprenticeship in Wagga Wagga; studying for a private pilot's licence, RAAF pilot officer training; posting to 5 Squadron for conversion to flying helicopters; posted to Vietnam November 1966 as a replacement member for 9 Squadron; reflections on Vietnam operations and service; civilian reactions to returned Vietnam servicemen.
