Description
Collection of Lieutenant J B Tunbridge MC, No 1 Squadron AFC. A smiling Lieutenant Tunbridge showing how he escaped his crashed aircraft. His original caption reads " A photo of my smash. You see the machine upside down and the nose all smashed in where she hit the ground. I have got my head through the hole in the nacille [nacelle]. I crawled out of the nacille, without a scratch. Having the belt done up saved me."
