Buckley, Raymond Timothy
Description
One original two page handwritten letter dated 20 December 1941 from QX15599 Private (Pte) Raymond Timothy Buckley to his cousin, Agnes. The letter was written whilst he was 'Abroad' with the 25th Australian Training Battalion, and describes his visits to Jerusalum and Bethlehem. Pte Buckley later served with 2/9 Australian Infantry Battalion until he was killed in action on 18 December 1942 during the defence of Milne Bay in Papua, New Guinea.
