Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX41115 Gunner Philip Arthur Brown. Consists of a fourteen page typed and bound memoir written by Gnr Brown, who served with the 2/3 Field Regiment in Crete during the Second World War. The first page contains to a dedication to Anna, as well as two photographs of Brown in uniform. This is followed by eight pages of text in which he describes his youth and his WW2 service, including life in POW camp in Germany and how he imagined life during the war was for his family in Australia. There are also five pages of copied photos and maps that complement the text.
