Benning enlisted on 29 April 1940 and, following training, served as ground crew with 460 Squadron until discharge on 11 September 1945. Photographs include images from his service in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Iceland and the United Kingdom. Album also contains various ephemera items, including postcards, tickets, rail maps and theatre programs, as well as leave passes, reports and discharge papers.
