Studio portrait of 1962 Corporal (Cpl) James Scrimgeour, 58th Battalion. An accountant prior to enlisting on 27 January 1916, Cpl Scrimgeour reverted to the rank of Private before embarking for overseas service aboard HMAT Ajana (A31). He returned to Australia on 18 October 1917 and was discharged in January 1918.
