Officer's hat badge : 1st Australian Infantry Regiment
Description
Circular gilded brass Officer's hat badge surmounted by a King's crown. At the centre of the badge is a voided stag bordered by a scroll with the embossed words 'FIRST AUSTRALIAN INFANTRY REG' encased in a waratahs wreath border that is crossed at the base. Beneath the stag a horizontal ribbon scroll has the embossed words 'PRIMUS AGAT PRIMAS' and the numeral '1' underneath.
