Studio portrait of 410846 Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Joseph William Muntz. Flt Sgt Muntz enlisted in the RAAF in Melbourne on 27 February 1942, and later served in the United Kingdom as an air gunner in 460 Squadron on Lancaster aircraft. He was lost on a bombing run to Berlin on 23 November 1943. Initially he was believed to have been buried in a cemetery in Luebben, Gemany, then after the war interred to the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Berlin.
