Stringer, Stephen Alfred
Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of NX52319 Stephen Alfred 'Fred' Stringer, 2/18 Infantry Battalion, prisoner of war and member of the Changi Concert Party. Collection consists of three prisoner of war postcards written from Changi, plus a handwritten letter from Stringer to his mother, written on board a hospital ship on his way home after release from Singapore. Also in the collection is a copy of the AIF Changi Souvenir Song Album - a publication of 24 of the most popular hits from the AIF Concert Party.
