Description
[From PR01781 papers of 900 Company Quartermaster Sergeant George Septimus Peers.] Black and white postcard depicting illustration of Chateau du Parc, Vignacourt (Somme), France. This postcard, dated 27 July 1916, was the first in a series of five written by Company Quartermaster Sergeant George Septimus Peers, whilst serving in France. The postcards are numbered 1 to 5, and have been written in letter form to his wife. Only the first three postcards show scenes of Vignacourt.
