Informal portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) Robert Storrie Guthrie, 48th Battalion, writing at a desk, possibly at Codford. Lt Guthrie, a 22 year old bookkeeper from Peterhead, SA, enlisted on 16 June 1915. Lt Guthrie was killed in action in Belgium on 12 October 1917. One of a series of images in an album relating to the wartime service of Lieutenant Harry Downes MC MM, 48th Battalion.
