Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 1018 David Clarence 'Clarrie' Gladstone Phillips, 10 Field Company Engineers. Collection consists of 20 letters and postcards including silk and bakelite types sent by Clarrie to his sister Roma, his brothers Rex and Sam and his mother, as well as one from Roma to Clarrie. Also in the collection are 10 letters and postcard between Roma and friend Wilfred 'Wilf' Edward Fleming, (who married one of Roma's sisters); a postcard and a letter written in french and 7 empty envelopes.
