Studio portrait of 2328 Trooper (Tpr) Thomas James Roberts, 13th Light Horse Regiment. Tpr Roberts, a 26 year old farm labourer from Coburg, Victoria enlisted in February 1917, leaving Australia with the 18th Reinforcements of the Regiment. Soon after arriving in England he transfered to the artillery and served with the 5th Field Artillery Brigade. He was admitted to hospital with influenza, where he died from pneumonia on 22 November 1918. His younger brother, 2459 Private Rupert Roberts had died of wounds three months earlier.(see P10764.002)
