Packer, Frank Percival
Description
29 page handwritten letter written by 460a Private (Pte) Frank Percival Packer to his wife Irene in 1916. Written in diary form, the letter spans the period 25 October to 28 December 1916, whilst Pte Packer was aboard troopship Ulysses. Pte Packer initially enlisted using the alias Arthur Willmott Gray until he declared his real name as Frank Percival Packer. He served mainly with the 4th Machine Gun Battalion.
