Portrait of Captain Robert Austin Goldrick, 36th Battalion. A bank clerk from Sydney, Capt Goldrick enlisted on 18 September 1915. Capt Goldrick was awarded the Military Cross (MC) for his actions on 12 October 1917, which included holding his position under heavy attack whilst sustaining four gunshot wounds. After recovering from his wounds, Capt Goldrick was transfered to the 33rd Battalion as an Adjutant before returning to Australia in 1919.
