Informal Portrait of brothers 4666 Corporal (Cpl) Harold Stanley Weller, 6th Battalion, and 4669 Cpl Frederick Nicholas Weller, 59th Battalion, on camels, in Egypt. A clerk prior to his enlistment on 13 July 1915, Cpl Harold Weller embarked for overseas service with the 6th Battalion on 28 January 1916. Cpl Weller sustained a gunshot wound to the chest in France on 26 July 1916. After recovering from his injuries, Cpl Weller transferred to the Australian Army Pay Corps in January 1917. He returned to Australia on 20 June 1919. Cpl Frederick Weller enlisted in Melbourne on 13 July 1915 and embarked on 28 January 1916. He was killed in action during the Battle of Fromelles, France, on 21 July 1916.
