Description
Collection relating to the service of 2600 Lance Corporal Colin Campbell Macdonald with 42 Battalion during the First World War. Collection consists of approximately 70 original handwritten letters sent by Macdonald to his family from the time of his embarkation in November 1916, through fighting in France, until his return in 1918. Included in the collection is an index to the letters. The letters are very lengthy and descriptive.
