Description

Turkish Cypriot demonstrators Ledra. This occurrence became known as the 'Pizza Delivery Boy Demonstrations'. A pizza delivery boy from the Republic of Cyprus got lost attempting to deliver a pizza to a British Army manned Observation Post. He accidentally crossed the Buffer Zone and took the pizzas to a Turkish Army Observation Post and was arrested. His car and pizza were siezed and,due to this action demonstrations occurred on both sides of the Buffer Zone. This image relates to the service of 2480 Sergeant Steven Walsh, Australian Federal Police, who served with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) 1994-1995, the United Nations Mission in East Timor (UNAMET) in 2004 and the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) in 2007.
