"Lt Col Gordon; Fox Movietone Reel-man; self" is handwritten on the verso of the photograph. The Fox Movietone News cameraman (centre) is probably Eric W Bierre, while "self" is probably SX3202 Lieutenant Colonel Rowland Austin Perkins. The men are standing beside a Matilda II tank during a training excercise being filmed for the newsreel "Armour of the Infantry". This image is from the collection of SX3202 Lieutenant Colonel Rowland Austin Perkins who served with the 2nd Australian Tank Battalion during the Second World War. See F00379 for the film "Armour of the Infantry".
