212 Private (Pte) James Henry Rathgeber "the patient", a scout with the 39th Battalion, having his hair cut by "the hairdresser" K Cameron and "the assistant" 246 Pte John Arkless Watson, also of the 39th Battalion. The haircut is taking place in the Ploegsteert (Plug Street) Wood, Belgium, the Western Front.
