Description

Czechoslovakia 1914-19 Allied Victory Medal. Unnamed as issued. The obverse features a winged female figure; Winged Victory, with a flowing skirt, holding an olive branch in her right hand and a sword, with the blade pointing downwards, in the left. The reverse features the national arms of a lion on a shield surrounded by linden leaves. There is a banner across the centre behind the shield with '1914', 1919' and the inscription 'SVETOVA VALKA ZA CIVILISACI' [Great War for Civilisation] around the circumference. The medal is fitted with a loose ring suspender and a length of watered double rainbow ribbon.
