Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of Leading Signalman John William Seabrook, HMAS Sydney. The diary describes the voyages and actions of HMAS Sydney from commissioning in 1913 to the end of the First World War. It records the places visited, escorting convoys, the Sydney-Emden encounter and other actions involving submarines and zeppelins. Signalman Seabrook's diary also contains a number of sketches and diagrams.
