Diary relating to First World War service of 358 Trooper Ion Llewellyn Idriess, 5th Light Horse Regiment. First entry is dated 16 November 1916 and the last is dated 24 February [1917]. In this diary, Idriess mentions snipers, desert operations, British Yeomanry, and capturing Bedouin tribesmen and their camels, only to be ordered to release them "and load their camels up with food", shortly after the Arab revolt of 1916.
