Description
The wreckage of a US Cessna Bird Dog aircraft alight. The plane was shot down by Viet Cong as it was doing reconaissance for a convoy travelling from Fire Support Base Coral to Vung Tau. The pilot, 235125 Major George Constable, 161 Reconnaissance Squadron, was killed in action on 23 May, 1968. This engagement is documented in the official history "Battle Beyond Borders".
