Description
Oval-shaped Mine Clearance Service Badge showing a depiction of a floating sea mine within a laurel wreath. Surmounted by an Imperial crown and at the base a scroll with 'MINE CLEARANCE SERVICE'. The badge is backed by a thin oval sheet of brass attached wth split pins.
History / Summary
This badge, worn on the lower sleeve, was awarded to Royal Navy sailor, V Powell, for minesweeping services, in 1919.
