Description
Identification portrait of 413362 Aircraftman 2 (AC2) Kenneth Roy Clarke, of Fairfield, NSW. A clerk prior to enlisting on 17 August 1941, he completed his initial training at Bradfield Park, NSW and was later attached to the RAF. On 5 July 1943, Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Clarke, (No 10 Operational Training Unit), died on operations over Brittany, France as a member of the crew of an Armstrong Whitworth Whitley 5 BD 359. He was 20 years of age. Flt Sgt Clarke is buried in the Plouguerneau Communal Cemetery, Plouguerneau, Brittany, France.
